Common use of CHILD/BABY BONDING LEAVE Clause in Contracts

CHILD/BABY BONDING LEAVE. The District adheres to all federal and state leave laws. For information regarding all baby bonding leave entitlements, contact the District Human Resources Benefits Office. 14.8.1 A male or female bargaining unit member may use up to twenty (20) days of accrued sick leave (which may include any available personal necessity leave) to bond with or care for a newborn, adopted, or xxxxxx child. The bargaining unit member shall provide twenty (20) working days advance notice to the immediate management supervisor for use of this leave. When advance notice is not possible, the bargaining unit member shall notify the immediate management supervisor within twenty-four (24) hours of the commencement of the leave.
