Child Find in State Correctional Facilities Sample Clauses

Child Find in State Correctional Facilities. In the state correctional facilities in New Hampshire, special education services are provided only to “Eligible Offenders with a Disability” as defined in this Interagency Agreement. Child Find, for incarcerated individuals aged 18-20, therefore becomes the verification of pre-existing eligibility for services. In the Corrections Special School District, this process is known as: Service Eligibility Verification (SEV). The New Hampshire Regulations for the Education of Children with Disabilities, Part Ed 1118.03, states “an incarcerated individual under the age of 18 shall have the right to be evaluated, identified, and, if appropriate, special education and related services provided”.
