Chokage Allowance Sample Clauses

A chokage allowance clause defines the permitted amount of sediment, debris, or other obstructions (commonly referred to as 'chokage') that can accumulate in a pipeline, channel, or similar infrastructure before maintenance or cleaning is required. In practice, this clause sets measurable thresholds for acceptable chokage levels, often specifying inspection intervals and the actions to be taken if the allowance is exceeded. Its core function is to establish clear standards for maintenance responsibilities, thereby preventing disputes over when and how often cleaning or repairs should occur, and ensuring the continued efficient operation of the system.
