Welding Welding and use of cutting torches or cutoff saws will be permitted only in areas that have been cleared or are free of all material capable of carrying fire. Litter In accordance with the Virginia Anti-Litter Law, receptacles sufficient to contain workmen's litter and construction wastes capable of being spread by wind or water shall be located on the construction site. The number and size of receptacles required shall be determined by the Contractor.
Dewatering 4.7.1 Where a part of a site is affected by surface water following a period of rain, thus rendering some areas unsafe for productive work, consistent with the Employer’s obligations under the OH&S Act, all non- trades employees shall assist in ‘dewatering’ their own work site or area if it is so affected. Such work to be paid at single time rates. Productive work will continue in areas not so affected.

Summer The UFF may designate three (3) employees to receive a thirteen week .25 FTE summer released time assignment however, no more than one employee per 15 employees per department/unit be designated to receive such released time.
