COMBINATON SCHEDULES. Combination schedules shall be introduced in a unit when:
(a) eighty percent (80) of the nurses in the unit so indicate by secret ballot and
(b) the hospital agrees to implement the combination rotation, such agreement shall not be withheld in an unreasonable or arbitrary manner.
(c) for nurses who indicate they do not wish to work combination schedules, the Hospital will endeavour to schedule these employees in a normal tour rotation.
(d) Where the scheduling of Job Sharers may be affected by any vote to determine this language, the job share arrangement shall then have one

(c) for nurses who indicate they do not wish to work combination schedules, the Hospital will endeavour to schedule these employees in a normal tour rotation.
(d) Where the scheduling of Job Sharers may be affected by any vote to determine this language, the job share arrangement shall then have one (1) vote. Where the partners cannot agree, then the partner with the most bargaining unit seniority shall cast the ballot. The combination schedule may be discontinued in any unit when:
(a) fifty-one percent (51%) of the nurses in the unit so indicate by secret ballot, or
(b) the Hospital because of:
i) adverse effects on patient care;
ii) inability to provide a workable staffing schedule;
iii) where the Hospital wishes to do so for other reasons which are neither unreasonable nor arbitrary. Nurses who work schedules where seven and one-half (7.5) and eleven and one-quarter (11.25) hours are combined, shall not work consecutive tours of more than: i) two (2) extended tours (11.25) and two (2) normal daily tours (7.5).
