Commercial Motor Vehicle. A motor vehicle or combination of motor vehicles 19 used in commerce to transport passengers or property if the motor vehicle is one of 20 the following: 22 a. Has a gross combination weight of 26,001 or more pounds, inclusive of a 23 towed unit with a gross vehicle weight rating of more than 10,000 pounds. 24 25 b. Has a gross vehicle weight rating of 26,001 or more pounds. 26 27 c. Is designed to transport sixteen (16) or more passengers, including the driver. 28 29 d. Is of any size and is used in the transportation of hazardous materials 30 requiring placards under the Hazardous Materials Regulations (Title 49, Code 31 of Federal Regulations, part 172, subparagraph F). 32 33 e. Any vehicle used as a school bus. 34
