Common use of COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT AND OVERSIGHT Clause in Contracts

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT AND OVERSIGHT. To maintain high-level, quality service; to ensure officer safety and accountability; and to promote constitutional, effective policing, APD shall promote the sustainability of reforms by supporting strong community participation and creating formal and informal mechanisms that facilitate ongoing and constructive communication between APD and the many communities that make up Albuquerque. APD shall take an active role in generating broad community support and mutual respect with the diverse communities it serves by adopting greater transparency, forming problem-solving and goal-oriented partnerships, and sharing responsibility for positive outcomes and continuous improvement through meaningful civilian oversight. To achieve these objectives, APD shall implement the provisions below.
