Common use of Community Mental Health Agencies Clause in Contracts

Community Mental Health Agencies. (CMHAs) The CONTRACTOR is encouraged to contract with CMHAs and other behavioral health safety net providers in the CONTRACTOR’s service area to the extent possible and practical. Where CMHAs are not utilized, the CONTRACTOR shall demonstrate that both adequate capacity and an appropriate range of services for all populations, but in particular priority enrollees, exist to serve the expected enrollment in the CONTRACTOR’s service area without contracting with CMHAs.
