Common use of Compensation for Cause Termination Clause in Contracts

Compensation for Cause Termination. If City shall terminate for cause or default on the part of Consulting Landscape Architect, City shall compensate Consulting Landscape Architect for the reasonable cost of Engineering/Architectural Services completed to date of its receipt of the termination notice. Compensation shall not include anticipatory profit or consequential damages, neither of which will be allowed. City also retains all its rights and remedies against Consulting Landscape Architect including but not limited to its rights to sue for damages, interest and attorney fees.
