Common use of Completion of the Works Clause in Contracts

Completion of the Works. 15.1 When, in the reasonable opinion of the Employer’s Representative, the Works in any Contract Order are practically complete, the Employer’s Representative shall issue a certificate to that effect and Practical Completion of the Works shall occur on the day named in such certificate. Such certificate may also be accompanied by a list of items of work which are, in the Employer’s Representative’s opinion, required to render the Works entirely completed. The Contractor shall with all due diligence complete any such items of work.
