COMPONENT 3: CAPACITY BUILDING. The primary objective of this component is to improve the capacity of Local Non Governmental Organizations (LNGOs), staff of relevant government agencies and other stakeholders to mobilize community members to actively participate in the improvement and maintenance of water and sanitation facilities and local official bodies that provide support for these efforts. During the reporting year, The Ghana WASH project built up the capacity of staff of LNGOs, District Environmental Health Assistants, District SHEP Coordinators, Teachers, and Food Vendors among others. These entities will assist the Ghana WASH Project maintain, manage, and support community entities to improve the access and quality of water and sanitation at the community level. 4.3.1 Number of people trained in effective communication, community profile analysis, and civic engagement (PMP No. 10)
