Composition of Class. Dual credit courses may be comprised of ECHS and dual credit students only or of ECHS, dual credit and college credit students. Exceptions for a mixed class that combines college credit and high school credit-only students may be allowed only when the creation of a high school credit-only class is not financially viable for the high school and only under one of the following conditions outlined in the TAC, Title 19, Part 1, Chapter 4, Subchapter D, Rule 4.85 listed below: o If the course involved is required for completion under the State Board of Education High School Program graduation requirements, and the high school involved is otherwise unable to offer such a course. o If the high school credit-only students are College Board Advanced Placement students. (ACGM and WECM student learning outcomes for the College course will supersede additional content required for College Board advanced placement exams.) o If the course is a career and technology/college workforce education course and the high school credit-only students are earning articulated college credits. (Please note that NC does not articulate credit. Therefore, all NC career and technical dual credit course sections are for dual credit only and may not be mixed with regular high school students.)
