Common use of Concrete Pour Procedure Clause in Contracts

Concrete Pour Procedure. (i) All employees will be inducted into SWMS for the placement of any concrete of any type – ground or suspended slab, columns, stairs or walls. And an engineer will sign off prior to concrete placement for suspended decks, and following his/her inspection of the support system, including formwork, bondek, condeck or any other like system. (ii) All handrails and other fall protection will be checked and made secure, including penetrations and black outs. (iii) Beams 350mm deep and over, from the finished floor level, will be meshed out for foot support and fall protection, given the danger of concrete xxxxx, leg/ankle and foot injuries. (iv) All formwork to be de-nailed and removed from inner and outer area of the pour. (v) All post-tensioned cables to be capped/tapped, and all starter bars to be capped. And all perimeter access to the pour to be clear of any obstacles and trip hazards. (vi) Adequate artificial light must be provided to perform all tasks associated with the placement and finishing of concrete, in a safe manner. (vii) Traffic management and spotting tasks will be performed by ticketed personnel, to manage trucks, pumps and other plant, and to avoid electrical hazards. (viii) With access and egress points to appropriately placed and consistent with Section 4 and 26 of the OHS Act.
