Concurrent Care Claim. A Concurrent Care decision represents a decision of The Plan approving an ongoing course of medical treatment for the Member to be provided over a period of time or for a specific number of treatments. A Concurrent Care claim is any claim that relates to the ongoing course of medical or emergency treatment (and the basis of the approved Concurrent Care decision), such as a request by the Member for an extension of the number of treatments or the termination by The Plan of the previously approved time period for medical treatment.
