For FYs 2017 and 2018, the NEFS V 1 sector has 30permits currently enrolled. Of those permits 20 are anticipated to actively fish for NE 2 multispecies in FYs 2017 and 2018. While these numbers may change, the NEFS V sector expects that, 3 compared to FY 2016, there would be no change from the consolidation that previously occurred among 4 the members during FY 2016. The member permits that are not attached to active NE multispecies 5 vessels in FYs 2017 and 2018 are the same permits that did not fish in FY 2016. In all cases, a member 6 who owns multiple permits fished the ACE (or DAS if in the common pool) of all those permits on fewer 7 hulls and will now continue to fish the ACE contributed by all those permits on fewer hulls, resulting in 8 no additional consolidation.
