Common use of Contemporary Records Clause in Contracts

Contemporary Records. Upon the happening of the event referred in the Bid Document (General Conditions), the contractor shall keep such contemporary records as may reasonably necessary to support any claim he may subsequently wish to make. Without necessarily admitting to employer’s liability, the employer may, on receipt of a notice inspect such contemporary records and may instruct the contractor to keep any further contemporary records as are reasonably and may be material to the claim of which notice has been given. The contractor shall permit the employer to inspect all records kept pursuant to this sub clause and shall supply to him copies thereof as and when the employer so instructs.
