Content of Professional Development Plans. Professional Development Plans should address the following issues: (1) A description of measurable, clear goals and objectives of the areas of faculty responsibility described in this Agreement. (2) A description of how the plan will contribute to the professional growth of the faculty member in each of the areas of faculty responsibility described in this Agreement. (3) A description of how the plan will contribute to the mission and effectiveness of the faculty member’s Academic Unit and the University. (4) A description of institutional and non-institutional support needed to implement the plan and how it has been agreed that support will be provided or how it will be sought. Contingency plans should be included in case planned funding does not become available.
