VOLUNTEERS AND STUDENT WORKERS The Employer will utilize volunteers and student workers only to the extent they supplement and do not supplant bargaining unit employees. Volunteers and student workers will not supervise bargaining unit employees.
Employer Policies Employees shall be governed by written policies adopted by the Employer as publicized on bulletin boards, or by general distribution, provided such policies are not in conflict with the provisions of this Agreement.
Independent Contractor; Workers’ Compensation Insurance The Contractor is performing as an independent entity under this Contract. No part of this Contract shall be construed to represent the creation of an employment, agency, partnership or joint venture agreement between the parties. Neither party will assume liability for any injury (including death) to any persons, or damage to any property, arising out of the acts or omissions of the agents, employees or subcontractors of the other party. The Contractor shall provide all necessary unemployment and workers’ compensation insurance for the Contractor’s employees, and shall provide the State with a Certificate of Insurance evidencing such coverage prior to starting work under this Contract.
REFERENCED CONTRACT PROVISIONS 2 3 Term: July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2022 4 Period One means the period from July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2018 5 Period Two means the period from July 1, 2018 through June 30, 2019 6 Period Three means the period from July 1, 2019 through June 30, 2020 7 Period Four means the period from July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2021 8 Period Five means the period from July 1, 2021 through June 30, 2022
