Common use of Continuity of Electric Service to be Furnished Clause in Contracts

Continuity of Electric Service to be Furnished. The electric service, unless otherwise specified, will be furnished continuously except (1) for interruptions or reductions due to uncontrollable forces, as defined herein; (2) for interruptions or reductions due to operation of devices installed for power system protection; and (3) for temporary interruptions or reductions, which, in the opinion of the Authority, are necessary or desirable for the purposes of maintenance, repairs, replacements, installation of equipment, or investigation and inspection. The Authority, except in case of emergency as determined by it, will give the Contractor reasonable advance notice of such temporary interruptions or reductions and will exercise due diligence to remove the cause thereof.
