Common use of CONTRACT APPROVAL Clause in Contracts

CONTRACT APPROVAL. The Contract is not effective until it has been approved by the State. The Contractor may not commence performance under this Contract until it has been approved by the State. Should the Contractor begin work prior to receiving a copy of the approved Contract, any work performed prior to execution of the contract shall be considered as having been done at the Contractor's own risk and as a volunteer.
