Common use of Contract Awards Clause in Contracts

Contract Awards. 1. The CM shall be responsible for making all sub-contract awards, after following the process outlined in 4.1a, b, c, d, e and f herein. CM shall supply the OWNER with its bid evaluations, descoping analysis, rationale, recommendation for award in advance of executing any subcontracts. The OWNER reserves the right to reject an intended award, in any instance where the OWNER’s review of the prequalified bidder would result in withdrawal of said pre-qualification. Upon owner’s approval of the recommendation to award for each subcontract, the CM shall provide copies of the executed subcontracts for each trade package. 2. One or more Principal Trade Contract packages shall be prepared for each of the General Construction, Electrical, Mechanical, Fire Protection, and Plumbing divisions of the work of the Project. The CM may prepare Principal Trade Contract packages for other divisions or subdivisions of the work. Each Principal Trade Contractor may be required by the CM to provide such bonds and insurance as the CM may require in the contract package.
