Common use of Contract Ratification Clause in Contracts

Contract Ratification. All members of the Bargaining Unit shall be permitted an opportunity to vote upon ratification of this Agreement prior to submission of the Agreement to the Board of Education for approval. If the number of members of the bargaining unit voting in favor of the agreement is more than half of the number of employees in the bargaining unit, the agreement will be considered approved by the district employees in the bargaining unit. Union must notify the Board in writing of the outcome of the election.
