Contractor’s Supervision. The contractor shall, during the whole time the work is in progress, employ a qualified experienced site-in-charge of the works with adequate experience in handing of jobs of this nature and with the prior approval of the GIPCL / ENGINEER. Such in-charge shall be constantly in attendance at the site during working hours. During CONTRACTOR’S supervisory engineer absence during working hours, if unavoidable, and also beyond working hours, when it may be necessary to give directions, orders may be given by the ENGINEER / GIPCL and shall be received and obeyed by the CONTRACTOR’S superintendent or Xxxxxxx who may have charge of the particular part of the work in reference to which orders are given. If requested to do so, the ENGINEER /GIPCL shall confirm such orders in writing. Any directions, instructions or notices given by the ENGINEER / GIPCL to him, shall be deemed to have been given to the CONTRACTOR. The representative of the CONTRACTOR shall have all necessary powers to receive materials from the GIPCL, issue valid receipts for the same, engage labour or purchase materials and proceed with the work as required for speedy execution. None of the CONTRACTOR’S Superintendents, engineers, supervisors or labour should be withdrawn from the work without due notice being given to the GIPCL / ENGINEER; further no such withdrawals shall be made if in the opinion of the GIPCL / ENGINEER such withdrawals will jeopardize the required pace of progress / successful completion of the work. The CONTRACTOR shall employ in or about execution of the work only such persons as area careful, skilled and experienced in their respective trades, and the GIPCL shall be at liberty to object to and require the CONTRACTOR to remove any person employed by the CONTRACTOR in or about execution of works who in the opinion of the ENGINEER misconducts himself or is incompetent or negligent in the proper performance of his duties and all such persons shall not again be employed upon the works without the prior permission of the GIPCL. Neither the CONTRACTOR and the PURCHASER nor the ENGINEER shall hire or employ any employee of the other party except by mutual consent.

Contractor’s Supervision. 6.2.1. During progress of the Work, Contractor shall keep on the Premises, and at all other appropriate locations where any Work related to the Contract is being performed, minimum staffing as indicated in Exhibit K to the Master Facilities Lease. These persons shall each comply with the following: 6.2.1.1. Each shall be an employee of the Contractor, to whom the District does not object. 6.2.1.2. Each shall speak fluently English, written and verbal, and the predominant language of the Contractor’s employees. 6.2.2. Before commencing the Work herein, Contractor shall give written notice to District of the name of its project manager and construction superintendent. Neither the Contractor’s project manager nor construction superintendent shall be changed except with prior written notice to District, unless the Contractor’s project manager and/or construction superintendent proves to be unsatisfactory to Contractor, District, any of the District's employees, agents, the Construction Manager, or the Architect, in which case, Contractor shall notify District in writing or if such project manager or construction superintendent are no longer employed by Contractor. The Contractor’s project manager and construction superintendent shall each represent Contractor, and all directions given to Contractor’s project manager and/or construction superintendent shall be as binding as if given to Contractor. 6.2.3. Contractor shall give efficient supervision to Work, using its best skill and attention. Contractor shall carefully study and compare all Contract Documents, Drawings, Specifications, and other instructions and shall at once report to District, Construction Manager, and Architect any error, inconsistency, or omission that Contractor or its employees and Subcontractors may discover, in writing, with a copy to District's Project Inspector(s). 6.2.4. The Contractor’s project manager shall devote sufficient time to the Project on site, and in the Contractor’s home office to pre-plan activities to meet the Project schedule and fulfill all Contract 6.2.5. The Contractor shall verify all indicated dimensions before ordering materials or equipment, or before performing work. The Contractor shall take field measurements, verify field conditions, and shall carefully compare such field measurements and conditions and other information known to the Contractor with the Project Documents before commencing work. Contractor’s Supervision. The Contractor shall supervise and direct the Work efficiently and with his best skill and attention. He shall be solely responsible for means, methods, techniques, procedures, and sequences of construction. The Contractor shall coordinate all parts of the Work and shall be responsible to see that the finished Work complies accurately with the Contract Documents.
Contractor’s Supervision. 5.01 The contractor shall effect supervision of the work using his best skill and intention. He should carefully study all drawings specifications and instructions and immediately report to the Engineer-in-charge any omissions or inconsistencies noticed by him. The contractor or his authorized agent or representative shall be available at all times for supervising the work. 5.02 The contractor, when required by the Engineer-in-charge shall attend himself or send his authorized agent or representative for measurements of the work. He should also sign the level book or measurement book in token of acceptance of such measurement, should the contractor fail to attend or send such agent or representative, taken at site shall be taken as correct.
Contractor’s Supervision. 52.1 Unless personally present on the premises where the Work is being done, Contractor shall keep on the Work, during its progress, a competent full-time job (project) superintendent satisfactory to District. The job superintendent shall not be changed except with the written consent of the District unless the job superintendent proves to be unsatisfactory to Contractor and ceases to be in his employ. The job superintendent shall represent Contractor in his absence and all directions given to him shall be as binding as if given to Contractor. Other directions shall be so confirmed on written request in each case. 52.2 Contractor shall give efficient supervision to the Work, using his best skill and attention to control safety and job coordination. They shall carefully study and compare all Drawings (or Plans), Specifications, and other instructions and shall at once report to District any error, inconsistency or omission which they may discover. The Contractor shall not be liable to District for any damage resulting from errors or deficiencies in the Contract Documents or other instructions by the District.
Contractor’s Supervision. The contractor shall supervise the execution of works or shall appoint a competent agent approved by the Engineer to act in his stead. The contractor shall at his own expense, employ as his authorized agent an Engineer or a suitably qualified and experienced person approved by the Engineer. The name of the agent so appointed, along with the qualifications, experience and address shall be communicated to the Engineer. The agent shall be a responsible person adequately authorised by the contractor to take decision on site and to spend money if required for procuring material and labour etc., to carry out emergency work in the interest of the contract work, if so required by the Engineer. Orders given to contractor's agent shall be considered to have the same force as if these had been given to the contractor himself, if the contractor fails to appoint a suitable agent as directed by the Engineer, the Chief Engineer, NRDA shall have full powers to suspend the execution of the works until such date as a suitable agent is appointed and the contractor shall be held responsible for the delay so caused to the works. The OEM (in case of supply items) shall depute his supervising engineer to the site for a minimum of 3 working days as and when the Electrical contractor installs and commissions the goods supplied by OEM.

Contractor’s Supervision. 4.2.1 The Contractor shall efficiently and continuously supervise and direct the Work, using its best skill and attention. Unless the Contract specifically provides otherwise, the Contractor shall be solely responsible for and shall exercise control over construction means, methods, techniques and procedures and shall coordinate the sequences of all portions of the Work. 4.2.2 The Contractor shall ensure that the key personnel submitted in response to the Invitation for Bids and assigned to this Contract are available throughout the term of the Contract. In the event that the Contractor requests substitution of key personnel, the Contractor shall obtain prior approval from the County for key personnel substitution. The Contractor shall ensure that substituted personnel are equally qualified and capable. Information on the qualifications of proposed substitutes shall be provided to the County for its consideration and approval prior to substitution taking place. 4.2.3 The Contractor agrees that it is as fully responsible to the County for the acts and omissions of its subcontractors and of persons, either directly or indirectly employed by the Contractor, as it is for the acts and omissions of persons directly employed by the Contractor.

If the Contractor has himself not sufficient knowledge and experience to be capable of receiving instructions or cannot give his full attention to the works, the Contractor shall at his own expense, employ as his accredited agent an engineer approved by the Engineer-In-Charge. Orders given to the Contractor's agent shall be considered to have the same force as if these had been given to the Contractor himself. If the Contractor fails to appoint a suitable agent as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge, the Engineer-in-Charge shall have full powers to suspend the execution of the works until such date as a suitable agent is appointed and the Contractor shall be held responsible for the delay so caused to the works.
