Cooperating Teachers. Teachers assigned to supervise student teachers shall be tenure teachers who voluntarily accept the assignment and they shall be known as “cooperating teachers.” The parties recognize that “cooperating teachers” are not supervisory teachers under the PERA.
Cooperating Teachers. All teachers who supervise student teachers from any of the training institutions shall be compensated according to the policy of each institution.
Cooperating Teachers. A. Acceptance of a teacher trainee shall be voluntary. Advance notice of the assignment of a trainee shall be provided. B. The cooperating teachers shall receive whatever is offered by the institution that provides the student teacher.

The cooperating teacher shall be endorsed by the state board in the particular subject and at the level of instruction for which the student teacher is seeking licensure and endorsement. b. The cooperating teacher shall have at least two (2) years of experience as a classroom teacher, and at least one (1) semester of experience as a classroom teacher in the present assignment. c. A student teacher shall be assigned only to a cooperating teacher who is willing to work with the student teacher and who is recommended by the school or district. d. The Board shall not participate in a program with a college or university which does not maintain the opportunity for the university coordinator to work closely with cooperating teachers. e. The college or university placing student teachers shall provide the cooperating teacher the allotted payment.
Cooperating Teachers. Reimbursement for supervision and administration of student teachers or other individuals placed in the district to observe, receive mentorship, or provide instruction will be compliant with the district’s agreement with the sponsoring postsecondary education institution.

The relationship between Cooperating Teachers and GCU shall be that of an independent contractor and shall not be deemed to be that of an employer-employee relationship, joint venture, or partnership. Cooperating Teachers shall be solely responsible for the payment of his/her own state and federal income tax and self-employment tax as applicable.
Cooperating Teachers. 13.11.1 Cooperating teachers shall receive one semester unit credit toward salary schedule for each full semester's successful supervision of student teachers. Fractional credits, to the extent of one-half unit only, will be allowed when at least 95 class periods of student teacher supervision are completed during a semester. For the purpose of this section, a class period is defined as a session of at least 45 minutes. 13.11.2 In lieu of credit, cooperating teachers may, at the time of agreement to take and train the student teacher, elect to receive the college payment to the District for each semester's supervision of student teachers, as (a) income or (b) for classroom projects and materials. Fractional allocation may be claimed on the same pro rata basis as identified by section 13.11.1. Claims must be submitted no later than March 25.

Cooperating Teachers. A joint study by Committee and Union representatives shall be made for compensation of cooperating teachers. Each cooperating teacher shall be given two days of leave, with pay, without loss of benefits. Such days shall be taken as mutually agreed upon by the teacher and the administrative head during the last two weeks of the student-teacher training period. In cases of conflict, seniority shall prevail in the selection of days.
