Common use of Copyrights and Patents Clause in Contracts

Copyrights and Patents. The ownership of any materials, inventions, or processes developed solely by a faculty member’s individual effort and expense, on their own time, shall rest in the faculty member and be copyrighted or patented, if at all, in their name. The ownership of any materials, invention or processes produced solely for the District and at District expense, shall rest in the District and be copyrighted or patented, if at all, in its name.
