Common use of Counting D/M/WBE Clause in Contracts

Counting D/M/WBE. Participation Towards the D/M/WBE Goal(s). The value of the work performed by a D/M/WBE, including that of a D/M/WBE prime contractor, with its own equipment, with its own forces, and under its own supervision will be counted toward the goal(s), provided the utilization is a commercially useful function. A D/M/WBE prime contractor shall still provide opportunities for participation by other D/M/WBEs. Work performed by D/M/WBEs on the contract will be counted as set forth below. If the Department determines that some or all of a D/M/WBE's work does not constitute a commercially useful function, only the portion of the work considered to be a commercially useful function will be credited toward the goal(s).
