Common use of Course Category Determination Clause in Contracts

Course Category Determination. Each course/assignment shall be evaluated by the xxxx and placed in Category A, B, or C as described below. This evaluation shall be recommended to the Vice President and may be reviewed by the Instructional Cabinet. The Vice President will make the final category determination. a. Category A – Courses of a clinical nature and non-instructional assignments such as developmental lab teaching assistants. b. Category B – Counseling and Library assignments and courses with little or no formal evaluation of the student. c. Category C – College credit courses and required high school completion courses. All ABE/GED/ESL lecture courses shall be in this category.
