Mandatory Training. 1. This is training an officer/employee is directed by the department to attend, i.e., intoxilyzer, crime scene procedures, etc. 2. It is the responsibility of an immediate supervisor to: a. Reschedule days off so as not to conflict with attendance whenever possible b. When rescheduling is not possible, compensatory time shall be given and forwarded through proper channels. 3. All employees who attend mandatory training and fail to successfully complete that training without sufficient justification in the opinion of the Chief or his designee shall reimburse the department for all tuition expenses incurred by the department on their behalf.

Mandatory Training. Employees who are required to attend a training class by their supervisor shall be reimbursed for all time spent in training. In addition, employees will be paid for time spent traveling to and from the training class (including passengers and drivers). If the use of a private automobile is authorized, the owner of the vehicle will also receive mileage reimbursement when driving to and from the training location and their regular work location. However, if the training site is closer to the vehicle owner’s home, that employee shall be paid for the mileage to and from his/her residence and the training location.
Mandatory Training. Employees who participate in County-mandated supplemental education programs shall either be assigned to such programs during their regular working hours, or be compensated for such training and travel time in accordance with FLSA procedures.

The CSCP Policies and Procedures shall be published in a form and location readily accessible to all pharmacy and compliance personnel at each of the Settling Pharmacy’s retail pharmacy stores in the State of Florida. C. On an annual basis for the duration of the Agreement, the Settling Pharmacy shall test its CSCP Employees, and any contractors serving as pharmacists or pharmacy technicians in its retail pharmacies in the State of Florida, on their knowledge regarding the CSCP Policies and Procedures required under this Agreement, including with respect to the Prescription Validation Process and their corresponding responsibility. D. It shall be a part of the CSCP Policies and Procedures and all trainings of all CSCP Employees required under these Settlement Terms that pharmacists shall refuse to dispense Controlled Substances that they believe were prescribed or are being used for other than a legitimate medical purpose or that they believe were not prescribed by an individual Prescriber acting in the usual course of his or her professional practice. E. All trainings required under these Settlement Terms shall also make clear that pharmacists will not be penalized in any way for refusing to fill prescriptions for Controlled Substances pursuant to their corresponding responsibility.
