Course Releases. In order to facilitate the ability of members to perform Association duties for bargaining or other Association duties as provided in Sections 1 and 2 above, up to six (6) course releases (or the approximate equivalent for academic professionals) shall be available to Association members per academic year. The first, third, and fifth course releases provided during an academic year shall be provided without reimbursement to the University. The Association shall reimburse the University for the second, fourth and sixth course releases provided during an academic year at the instructor rate per credit hour for instructional members and actual replacement costs for other members.
