Covered California for Small Business Exchange Rates. Covered California for Small Business rates will be established through an annual negotiation process between the Contractor and the Exchange and are set for the applicable year. Contractor shall also submit rate information in such form and at such date as shall be established by the Exchange to provide the Exchange with sufficient time for necessary analysis and actuarial certification. The Exchange will permit an update of rates to be offered on the Covered California for Small Business Exchange no more frequently than on an annual basis. Contractor shall provide, upon the Exchange’s request, in connection with any contract negotiation or recertification process as reasonably requested by the Exchange, detailed documentation on the Exchange-specific rate development methodology.

If the term of the Agreement is longer than one (1) year, Contractor shall also submit rate information in such form and at such date as shall be established by the Exchange to provide the Exchange with sufficient time for necessary analysis and actuarial certification. The Exchange will permit an update of rates to be offered on the Covered California for Small Business Exchange no more frequently than on a quarterly basis. Updates can only be made on the calendar quarter or such later time as the Exchange and Contractor agree to.
Covered California for Small Business Exchange Rates. Covered California for Small Business rates for 2017-2019 will be established through an annual bid Application process. Contractor shall also submit rate information in such form and at such date as shall be established by the Exchange to provide the Exchange with sufficient time for necessary analysis and actuarial certification. The Exchange will permit an update of rates to be offered on the Covered California for Small Business Exchange no more frequently than on a quarterly basis. Contractor may choose to make quarterly rate updates for the second, third and fourth quarters by submitting rate updates at least 120 days prior to the quarter begin date. Following applicable regulator rate review, quarterly rate updates shall be in effect for the 12- month period subsequent to the initial effective dates for all employer groups. Updates can only be made on the calendar quarter or such later time as the Exchange and Contractor agree to.
