Common use of CPCs Clause in Contracts

CPCs. Each Call Class of CPCs shall be issued and maintained as a single certificate (in bookentry or certificated form) in an original notional principal amount equal to the original notional principal amount of that Class. In the event that a Call Class is held of record and transferable in certificated form, such certificate shall bear the legend: “This certificate may be transferred in whole but not in part and may be transferred to one but not more than one person. Any purported transfer in violation of this provision is void and ineffectual, and shall not operate to transfer any interest in this certificate. Any such purported transfer will not be recognized by the Registrar or Freddie Mac.”
