Decoders. As the decoders of Japanese LVCSR systems, we use the one named Xxxxxx, which is provided by IPA Japanese dictation free software project [5], as well as the one named SPOJUS [6], which has been developed in our laboratory. Both decoders are com- posed of two decoding passes, where the first pass uses the word bigram, and the second pass uses the word trigram. Xxxxxx is with word-trellis searches and hence has much broader search space than SPOJUS, which is with N-best searches.
