Common use of Deduction of Union Dues and Fees Clause in Contracts

Deduction of Union Dues and Fees. The Employer shall deduct Union dues and initiation fees levied by the Union on its members. The Union shall indemnify and save the University harmless from all and any claims which may be made against it by an employee or employees for any amount deducted from pay as provided for in this article. The Union shall provide the Employer with written direction authorizing deductions for members for any dues and initiation fees and any changes thereto before the Employer is required to make deductions.
