Deductions for Retirement Benefits Provided Exclusively by Company Contributions. Monthly pensions (or deferred monthly pensions as provided for in Section 2 of Article V) under the Plan shall be reduced by the monthly amount of "Past Service" benefits, if any, which an employee is entitled to receive as a result of the Company's contributions under the "Retirement Plan for Employees of General Motors Subsidiaries Operating in Canada" which became effective April 1, 1947. If the monthly benefits of an employee payable under the Plan are subject to reduction under the preceding provisions of this Paragraph in respect of a monthly benefit for “Past Service” benefit payable from the “Retirement Plan for Employees of General Motors Subsidiaries Operating in Canada”, and the employee arranges to transfer the commuted value of the entitlement out of such other retirement plan, then the monthly benefit of the employee payable under the Plan shall be reduced by the amount of the monthly benefits that would have been payable under such other retirement plan but for such transfer.
