Past Service. Recognition - Notwithstanding the provisions of this Article, it is understood and agreed that the employees will be subject to the provisions and regulations of the Company's policy on past service recognition except that, during the first full calendar year of re-employment, vacation entitlement will be based on the provisions for a reduced vacation entitlement in accordance with Company regulations.
Past Service.
(a) Past Service as defined in Article 12.03 is and will continue to be used in the calculation of pay in addition to an employee’s qualification pay.
(b) Past service in a Ministry of the Government of British Columbia will not be considered a part of emergency health services seniority. Subject to the Public Sector Pension Plans Act, new employees of the Employer may receive credit for pensionable service with their previous employer.
Past Service. For employees hired before December 31, 1989, former time in the Kitimat Fire Services will be credited only towards:
(1) reclassification as set forth in Sections 21.04 to 21.08 (inclusive);
(2) vacation entitlement;
(3) service pay.
Past Service. Recognition Plan shall commence, for Employees who were appointed Permanent Part-time 1987 December 31 or before following the completion of five (5) consecutive years of service with payment based on hours worked in the fifth (5th) year, i.e. sixty dollars ($60.) per year or one half day's pay, whichever is greater, pro-rated in each case. Increments every five (5) year period to be based on the hours worked in the fifth (5th) year of the cycle. There is no Past Service Recognition Plan Pay or Service Pay for Employees hired 1988 January 01, or after.
Past Service. Prior to April 1, 1968 Current Service: April 1, 1968 – December 31, 1992 Beginning January 1, 1993: One year of credited service is granted for each plan year in which the member works at least 350 hours under the terms of the Plan.
Past Service. Credits Employees in the bargaining unit on the effective date of this Agreement, or who thereafter enter the bargaining unit, and whose service with any other employer(s) is or was recognized by the Union or any of its predecessors for the
Past Service. Employees hired prior to January 1, 2010 who had previously participated in CCWIPP will be eligible for a past service benefit provided by the MLF pension plan. The past service benefit will be 50% of the pension based on a benefit level of $25.10 per month per year of service in CCWIPP prior to January 1, 2010, less the amount provided by CCWIPP as at December 31, 2009. This MLF benefit will be calculated on the same basis as the current CCWIPP benefit, ie. based on the number of hours reported and payable without reduction at age 65. (For clarification, this means that the benefit will cover 50% of the losses from the CCWIPP reduction.)
Past Service. For participants in the Pension Plan on Decem- ber for Pressmen and for Paperhandlers effective January multiplied by units of six months of continuous service or major fraction thereof after attaining age and for Pressmen and Paperhandlers effective January for six months of continuous service or major fraction thereof while a participant in the Pension Plan after December The total pension calculation to be limited to and years of service with a pension payment of execute any instruments necessary to effect such requests and the Employer and the trustees to the Pension Plan and the Toronto Star Pension Plan to do or cause to be done all which is neces- sary to effect such transfer of assets. Nothing herein shall preclude a non-contributory member of the Toronto Star Pension Plan who is governed by this Collective Agreement from becoming a “Late-Start Con- tributory Member” or a “Contributory Member” of the Toron- to Star Pension Plan (as those terms are defined therein), pro- vided that, in either case, the employee applies for such mem- bership and the Employer to deduct normal contri- butions from his/her pay in accordance with the terms of the Toronto Star Plan not later than six months after the date each affected employee is in receipt of written infor- mation detailing his/her cost (including interest) of past service contributions and, with respect to contributory membership, complies with such requirements as the fund- ing of past service contributions as may be agreed upon by the Employer and the employee and accepted by the Trustees of the Toronto Star Pension Plan. For greater certainty it is here- by stipulated and understood that: payments in respect of an employee’s funding of past service contributions shall be made in such number of per week for Pressmen Paperhandlers effective January per week for as ...
Past Service. Past service shall be computed to the nearest quarter year and shall be credited at the rate of:
a) one year for each year of the Employee's seniority as of July 1, 1968 (as computed pursuant to Section 8 of the Pension Plan for Bargaining Unit employees, as in effect on June 30, 1968); plus
b) in the case of an Employee transferred into the Bargaining Unit from other employment by the Company prior to July 1, 1968, without seniority credit for his service prior to such transfer, one year for each year of additional seniority he would have if the seniority provisions referred to in (a) above were applied to his service with the Company preceding the date of such transfer.
