Common use of Deductions from Accrued Leave Clause in Contracts

Deductions from Accrued Leave. For each full day of absence, the number of hours deducted from a bargaining unit member’s accrued leave shall equal the entire eight-hour day (nine during the summer four-day work week). If the bargaining unit member worked part of a day, the leave deducted will be the difference between eight (or nine) hours and the hours actually worked that day.
