Xxxxxxxxxx (1999) provides a descriptive approach and stated that the British Franchise Association (BFA) defines franchising as a contractual license granted by the franchisor to the franchisee which allows the franchisee to carry on during the period of the franchise a particular business belonging to the franchisor; it obliges the franchisor to provide the franchisee with assistance during the period of the franchise to pay fees.
