Definition of Preparation Time. a. Preparation time shall be defined as unassigned time for which the teacher shall not be responsible for the instruction or supervision of students. This time may be used at the teacher‘s discretion for marking, lesson planning or development, preparation or duplication of materials, reporting, contact with parents, consultations, or any other tasks which are associated with the instruction of their students.
