Common use of Definition of Tenant Clause in Contracts

Definition of Tenant. The word “Tenant” whenever used herein shall be construed to mean the party named above as Tenant or anyone or more of them in all cases where there is more than one party named above as Tenant; and the necessary grammatical changes required to make the provisions hereof apply either to corporations, partnerships or other entities or individuals shall in all cases be assumed as though in each case fully expressed. In all cases where there is more than one party named above as Tenant, the liability of each shall be joint and several.
