Definitions of Assignment or Transfer. ‌ An "assignment" is defined as the placement of an employee within one building in the P-5 program, specialty area, or middle school. A "transfer" is a placement of an employee outside the employee's current assignment or building. The move of a classroom (which does not involve a change of evaluator) or an entire program from one building to another will not constitute a transfer or change of assignment.
