Classroom Observation. Classroom observations shall be conducted at least once for all unit members who have not met the threshold for reappointment as defined in Section 10.02 of Article10. Effective fall 2006 classroom observations shall be conducted on DCE form E3. Classroom observations may be conducted for any unit member, at the discretion of the President of the College, or designee thereof, for stated written reasons. Results of said observation shall be communicated to the unit member in writing. The unit member shall be afforded the opportunity to discuss the classroom observation with the evaluator and to respond in writing.
Classroom Observation a. The President of the College or the President’s designee shall conduct a classroom observation once during every three (3) appointment periods.
b. Each faculty member shall be advised of a two (2) week period during which the President of the College or the President’s designee shall conduct classroom observation; provided that each faculty member shall be given at least twenty-four (24) hours' notice of the date of classroom observation; provided, however, that a one (1) time postponement may be requested by a faculty member, if requested twenty-four (24) hours in advance. Each faculty member may submit to the President of the College or the President’s designee supplementary course materials regarding the planned classroom activities during said two (2) week period.
c. Pre- and Post-Observation Conferences: For classroom observation conducted by the President of the College or the President’s designee there shall upon request of the affected unit member occur a pre-observation and post-observation conference between the unit member and the President of the College or the President’s designee. The post-observation conference shall occur not later than two (2) weeks after the classroom observation unless otherwise mutually agreed.
d. The President of the College or the President’s designee shall within fourteen (14) days of observation prepare an evaluation of the classroom observation in accordance with the criteria set forth in 13.07A and shall forward a copy to the faculty member and attach the evaluation to the summary evaluation.
e. The faculty member shall have seven (7) working days in which to respond to the evaluation and attach the response to the summary evaluation.
Classroom Observation. Copies of observations are distributed to teacher and evaluator.
Classroom Observation. A. All visitors to a school and/or classroom shall obtain the approval of the building administrator and if the visit is to a classroom, the time will be arranged only after the building administrator has conferred with the certificated employee.
B. The certificated employee shall have the opportunity to confer with the classroom observer before and/or after the observation.
C. The determination of any observations shall be at the discretion of the building principal after conferring with the certificated employee involved.
Classroom Observation. When classroom observation is part of the evaluative process, a GSEAU generally will be provided advanced notice of the date of the observation. Management xxx observe teaching performance at any time and, while a GSEAU will ordinarily have advanced notice of such action, the GSEAU may not if, in Management’s judgment, circumstances do not warrant it.
Classroom Observation. The President of the College or the President’s designee shall conduct at least one (1) classroom observation per academic year, except for tenured faculty during a non-evaluation year.
Classroom Observation. The chair of the Post-Tenure Evaluation Committee shall complete an observation during the second year and the fourth year of the evaluation cycle.
Classroom Observation. The President of the College or the President’s designee shall conduct a classroom observation once during every three (3) appointment periods.
Classroom Observation. The full-time faculty mentor will conduct a classroom observation a minimum of once per semester. Other peer assistance committee members will conduct a classroom observation a minimum of once per year. The appropriate approved form will be obtained from the Office of Instruction.
Classroom Observation. Management may observe teaching performance at any time. An employee ordinarily will have advance notice of a classroom observation but may not if, in Management’s judgment, circumstances do not warrant it. Nothing in this Section 8.2(B) precludes an employee from requesting a classroom observation.
