Active TB Disease: TB disease in an individual whose immune system has failed to control his or her TB infection and who has become ill with Active TB Disease, as determined in accordance with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) laboratory or clinical criteria for Active TB Disease and based on a diagnostic evaluation of the individual.
