Common use of Delay of Transfer Clause in Contracts

Delay of Transfer. When approval for a transfer has been granted and a definite date has been set, the Employer will pay reasonable expenses incurred as a result of a delay in transferring to a new assignment in a new location such as: (a) Accommodation in the previous location if the Employee is paying for accommodation in the new location. (b) Meals and other out-of-pocket expenses in accordance with policies that normally apply when an Employee is out-of-town on Employer business. (c) Transportation costs for one (1) return trip per week between the previous location and the new location. (d) Other reasonable expenses that arise on an individual basis where it can be demonstrated that the Employee is required to bear unusual expenses.
