DEPARTMENT RE-SCHEDULING PERSONAL DAYS DUE TO EMERGENCIES. If, due to emergency reasons, a department must ask an employee to skip her/his scheduled personal day(s) within one (1) workweek of the scheduled day, the employee will be paid time and one-half (1 ½ x) for hours worked on that day and the day usage will be rescheduled. If use of the personal day cannot be rescheduled during the calendar year, the employee is entitled to an extra day's pay; hours paid in this manner do not count as hours worked.
