Common use of Department-Student Agreements Clause in Contracts

Department-Student Agreements. 1. Only democratically elected student governing bodies may negotiate agreements with a department of a College and such agreements may be reached only in the area of curricula matters, and shall be subject to the approval of the College President; except that if an agreement has been made between a department and a student group prior to the signing of this Agreement, it shall not be effective unless hereafter approved by the College President. 2. No agreement signed with the student governing body nor any agreement hereafter approved by a College President shall abrogate the rights of faculty members under this Agreement and the Board rules. 3. Such Department-Student agreements shall be reviewed by the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs.
