Depreciation Deduction Clause Samples

A Depreciation Deduction clause defines how parties may account for the reduction in value of an asset over time for tax or accounting purposes. Typically, this clause outlines the method and schedule for calculating depreciation, such as straight-line or accelerated depreciation, and specifies which assets are eligible. Its core function is to provide a clear framework for allocating the cost of tangible assets over their useful life, ensuring compliance with tax regulations and preventing disputes over asset valuation.
