Descriptor II: Documentation. Four types of documents will be assessed: (1) chain of custody records; (2) standard operating procedures; (3) analytical records; and (4) field survey records. This activity ensures that data considered in the decision making process has been collected by proper methods, samples have been handled and analyzed in accordance with applicable guidelines and procedures, and sufficient documentation exists to provide a defensible record of survey activities.
