Common use of Designated Consumer Price Index Clause in Contracts

Designated Consumer Price Index. The parties agree that the Consumer Price Index for all Urban Consumers (CPI-U), San Francisco‐Oakland‐San Xxxx category, published by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, shall be the basis for all salary increases that are tied to Consumer Price Indexes (CPI-U). When a salary increase is to be based on the CPI-U, the salary ranges for classifications represented by this MOU shall be adjusted by the percentage of year‐to‐year change in the CPI-U, San Francisco‐Oakland‐San Xxxx category, reported for the previous twelve (12) months August to August, rounded to the nearest one‐tenth of one percent (1/10%).
