Common use of Detached Service Leave Clause in Contracts

Detached Service Leave. A teacher who is elected to public office or as an officer of a state or national education association or consultant for a professional education association shall be granted a leave without pay upon request, years to count as years of service with a maximum of four (4) years.

Detached Service Leave. A teacher who is elected to public office office, or as an officer of a state or national education association or consultant for level Association officer in a professional education association position which benefits all Bargaining Unit Members regardless of Association membership, shall be granted a leave without pay upon request, years to count as years of service with a maximum of four (4) years.
