Common use of Detached Service Leave Clause in Contracts

Detached Service Leave. A teacher who is elected to public office, or as a state or national level Association officer in a position which benefits all Bargaining Unit Members regardless of Association membership, shall be granted a leave without pay upon request, years to count as years of service with a maximum of four (4) years.

Detached Service Leave. A teacher who is elected to public office, office or as an officer of a state or national level Association officer in education association or consultant for a position which benefits all Bargaining Unit Members regardless of Association membership, professional education association shall be granted a leave without pay upon request, years to count as years of service with a maximum of four (4) years.
